Kitchenaid Dishwasher Reviews – 8 Tips

In today’s world, there are so many different options when it comes to kitchen appliances. It’s important to know as much as possible about the appliance you choose so

In this video, we will be taking a look at one of KitchenAid’s latest dishwasher models. Model #: KDFM404KPS

Main Features
The most notable feature of this dishwasher is going to be the Free Flex 3rd Rack. The top rack has space for cups, mugs, and small bowls and includes independent rotating sprayers to ensure maximum coverage of dishes on the top rack. The top rack also includes a removable utensil tray on the right-hand side.
If the rotating sprayers weren’t enough this dishwasher also has a small spinning wash arm on the top of the dishwasher shooting water down onto the 3rd rack.
There are 5 wash cycles including the KitchenAid Prowash cycle which measures soil levels of dishes and determines wash time and temperature based on that measurement. How is this done? By determining how quickly water falls back off of the dishes.
This is one of the first dishwashers to have a wash arm on all three racks. KitchenAid is calling it their advanced water system.
Many people have concerns about how loud their dishwasher will run. This dishwasher has a decibel rating of 44 competing with the quietest dishwashers on the market. Some dishwashers range up to 60dBA.
Dishes will be heat dried via a heating rod at the bottom surrounding the filter. Other dishwashers use fan or condensation drying methods.
Delay wash cycles. What is this for? This feature is handy for avoiding any hot water conflicts in the home (showering, doing laundry, etc.). The options are 2, 4, and 8-hour delays.
Bar handle with fingerprint-resistant stainless steel.

Things to consider before you buy
No wifi or smart capabilities. Not an issue for many, but the demand for smart capabilities in appliances always growing.
Not panel ready. Meaning it cannot be customized to match cabinets in the kitchen.
No bottle sprayers like previous models may have had.
